Inspiration comes from within. When I feel burned out, I tend to watch mystery movies, listen to music or paint. When I paint, I get more inspired during Wednesday night Bible class. I don’t know why but it happens. I have painted a cross with a touch of pointillism, a lighthouse, half of a woman’s face and many more. What inspires you should be something that motivates you to do more. Some creativity shared by others can bring diverse aspects, stories and experiences that can fuel the ability to assist and engage a quest for knowledge.
Every now and then, I take a step back and look at the world around me. I breathe and take in the essence of my mindset. It fuels my growth and gives me the ability just be. I take care of “ME.” Every three months, I go to a 1-Day getaway to rejuvenate with others and let go of the negativity. I take my yoga mat and chair and relax. As a year-round teacher, I need all the relaxing I can get. Self-care is important to relieve the stress, clear your mind and get centered. This helps with maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
I challenge everyone to take a break for your work life a go on a retreat or getaway and get back to you. Your mind needs it. Your body will say thank you and your mind will be clearer. Please remember to turn your phone down so you can relax with out it going off every 10 seconds. 🙂
