My Autumn Bucket List: Making Room for Little Joys

This autumn, I want to make time for things I’ll enjoy remembering. My days can get busy, and it’s easy for a season to pass while I’m taking care of everything on my to-do list. I want to look up, get outside, try something fun, and enjoy the cozy moments at home, too.

Here’s what’s on my autumn bucket list.

1. Decorate a cozy corner.
A few pumpkins, warm colors, and a soft throw would make the perfect spot to settle in after work. I want to enjoy decorating without feeling like I have to redo the whole house.

2. Take a walk to see the changing leaves.
Comfy tennis shoes, a favorite hoodie, and cool air sound like a good combination. I’d love to take a few pictures along the way.

3. Visit a pumpkin patch or fall festival.
I want an afternoon to wander, enjoy the decorations, and pick out a pumpkin to bring home.

4. Plan a cozy movie night.
Herbal tea, an easy snack, a blanket, and a movie I’ve been wanting to watch. My only assignment for the evening will be to get comfortable.

5. Take myself on a solo date.
I want to choose something because I want to do it, get ready at my own pace, and enjoy my own company. A movie or a quiet meal sounds like a lovely place to start.

6. Try a fall makeup look.
Soft brown eyeshadow, a little bronze, and a warm lip color could be fun to experiment with. I might even take a picture before heading out.

7. Spend some time caring for my plants.
I enjoy gardening, and I want to give my plants some attention as the season changes. Checking on them is also a good reason to slow down for a while.

8. Write about this chapter of my life.
I want to capture what I’m enjoying, what I’m learning, and what I’m beginning to want for myself. It will be good to have those thoughts to look back on.

9. Make a fall memory with people I love.
Whether we go somewhere or spend an evening together at home, I want time for conversation, laughter, and a few pictures.

10. Give myself a gentle fall reset.
Clear out a space that’s been bothering me, revisit a routine, and make a little more room for rest and movement. One manageable change at a time.

I may not check off every item, and that’s okay. This list gives me something to look forward to and a reminder to make plans for myself.

When autumn ends, I want to have a few good stories, some favorite pictures, and the feeling that I took time to enjoy it.
